Baby gift and card

Hi all my crafty friends! I have been so busy this weekend working on a baby gift for a colleague of mine....they have just adopted a little girl! So I wanted to make them a few little things for their new baby...

The first item is a baby bag...I have been making these for about 5 years for my nieces and nephews and friends that have babies. My daughter still uses the one I made for Brooklyn 4 years ago! They are very large and are great for overnight trips.

The 2nd item is a burping cloth. I used the same cloth from the baby bag for the front side and a prefold diaper is the back.

The last item is a crocheted hat! I LOVE this little hat! I found the pattern on Pinterest! Just love that site!

and you know I just had to make a baby card to go with this gift......

The stamp image I have had a long time, I don't remember the name of the stamp company and I don't know if it still exists...but it sure is cute!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a safe and fun evening! My husband and I decided to stay home and have a nice dinner and spend a quite evening together! After such a busy Christmas, this was soooo nice!

Ok, now on to some crafty stuff!

Today, there is a new Club Ruby Designers Club Kit available and boy does it have some super cute papers! I LOVE this months kit! I have been wanting some fun boy paper and WOW this kit has it!

It's almost Christmas!

I can't believe that Christmas is just a few days away! I have been so busy here....I just finished up my annual Cookie Exchange Party...this year I made ornaments for all my guest using a group picture from last year.

These were super easy to make....Also, I have been busy making cookies!

One of the Christmas traditions that I like to keep with my grandchildren is making a gingerbread house....we had a great time.

This is just a few of the things that I have been up to during the past few weeks....I hope to be more active on my blog in 2012. My job has taken up so much of my time lately...I miss you all and am anxious to get back to crafting!

Crafting time with my granddaughter

Hi all my crafty friends! I don't have a project today...but I will have some in a few days...I have been working all weekend on some really neat Christmas items and will have them ready to post by next weekend. In the meantime, I wanted to share a picture with my granddaughter Brooklyn..she loves to "craft" with me and when she comes to visit we always spend a lot of time together making things. On this day, she is making her mother a card. She enjoys cutting, coloring and gluing! I am so happy I have someone to share my love of crafting with!

Hi my crafty friends! Well, time has gotten away from me once again! I have been so super busy with work, that I haven't had a chance to video the last few pages of the Holiday Planner. But, since I need it for Thanksgiving I did take some time to finish it up.

Holiday Planner Pages 6 and 7

Hi my crafty friends!!! Well, finally I am able to get to the next 2 pages in the Holiday Planner! I better get a move on it...since my goal was to have it completed prior to Thanksgiving!

The next 2 pages are for my annual cookie exchange party. This will be a place for me to plan my menu, games and gifts for the party. I am also including a pocket on page 7, to hold my shopping lists.

Paper Pumpkin

Hi my crafty friends! I have a really fun project for you today! While I was visiting my local Archivers this past weekend, I found this project sheet at one of their display tables. I knew I had to make this! It is sooooo super cute! It does take a lot of paper..8 sheets...but I think it is worth it!

In the video below I show how to put the pumpkin together, but you will need the dimensions of the paper pieces, which I will list below. The video is a little long, but I hope you stay with it...I think you will enjoy the finished result!

Now on to the video!

Here are the dimensions for the paper pieces:

You will need to cut the following from double sided paper of your choice. I will start from the top of the pumpkin to the bottom.

2 strips of 1 1/2 x 12 inch (top layer)

3 strips of 2 3/4 x 12 inch ( 2nd layer)

3 strips of 3 x 12 inch (3rd layer)

3 strips of 3 1/4 x 12 inch (4th layer)

3 strips of 3 1/4 x 12 inch (5th layer)

3 strips of 3 1/2 x 12 inch (6th layer)

3 strips of 3 1/4 x 12 inch (7th layer)

3 strips of 3 1/4 x 12 inch (8th layer)

3 strips of 2 1/2 x 12 inch (9th layer)

2 strips of 1 3/4 x 12 inch 10th and bottom layer)

For the stem you will need to cut 3 strips 1 1/2 x 12 inches

Inspiration Showcase with Jennifer McGuire

Hi my crafty friends! I am having a wonderful week! I signed up for the Inspiration Showcase on line class with Jennifer McGuire and I am LOVING it!

I started my card making by using stamps....and since I was introduced to the Cricut...I haven't stamped very much...so this class is re-energizing my stamping bug~!

The past few days we have been working on Resist stamping techniques....here is a card I made with this technique.

2011 Holiday Planner - Pages 2 and 3

Hi my crafty friends! I have been so busy this past week, but I was able to put together the next 2 pages of the my holiday planner. I am working on pages 2 and 3, which will be for Thanksgiving.

I like to have a November calendar and a menu area for my Thanksgiving menu planning. This helps me put together my shopping list when I start preparing. I also like to look at the previous years planners to gather some ideas if I can't seem to come up with anything...but my family really likes to have the same thing every Thanksgiving...so that makes it a little easier for me.

Well, on to the planner...

There are 2 pages for Thanksgiving, the left side is the calendar and that cute little

turkey from Create a Critter cartridge, and the right side is the menu page.

2011 Holiday Planner - Cover page

Hi my crafting friends! Well, the weather finally got a little coolier here in St. Louis and I am now in the fall mood! Yeah!

So to kick off my fall mood!!!, I am going to start on my 2011 Holiday Planner. I have been making these planner for several years. I use them starting with
Thanksgiving and right through the Christmas holiday.

This year, I decided to let you all join me during my creative process in creating the planner. So each week or so I will be doing a video for each page in the planner until it is complete. So I should be done in time for Thanksgiving.

Does that sound like fun? I hope so....so lets start off with the cover of the planner.

I am using Winter Frolic for the images on the cover. I just love that cartridge, I puchased it late last year and really didn't get a chance to use it the last holiday season. I am also using paper from a holiday paperpack I purchased last year from DCWV, so I'm not sure if it is still available this year, but I'm sure you all can find something you all just love, if you plan to follow along.

Hi my crafty friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did! We had our annual craft festival this weekend, I shopped and shopped! It was great!

I also had a really good craft day today! I have a lot of projects for Club Ruby Designers to get completed by end of month and decided today would be a good day to make many of them. I also had an opportunity to color a little also...so I decided to color one of my favorite new stamp company's image...LaLaLand Stamps....isn't she cute!

Club Ruby Designers August Kit project

Hi my crafting friends! Long time...no post!!! I have a video for you today!

I am working away on my projects for the Club Ruby Designers Club Kit for August...what a fun month! Megan has given the Design Team the ok to post one of our projects on our blog this month! So you are in for a treat! The August Club Kit is really awesome....I decided to make a layout of my grandson Nolan and his frog he found this weekend.

I am using the cartridges Campin Critters and Paisley. I am also showcasing a new product I found at CHA the Scrappin Easel! I just had to have one of these! Also, as many of you know, I am a Master Designer for Club Ruby Designers, and have had access to this fantastic paper for a while....here is one of my first layouts using the Paperlayerz!

The train and plane were cut from Paperlayerz...so super easy...I didn't have to cut out all the different colors of paper...just lay the 12x12 color blocked paper on the mat and cut away! Soooo easy!

I will be leaving for CHA on Saturday, I am taking the Advanced Copic Certification class on Sunday and then I am looking forward to a few days at the Trade Show with Megan from Above Rubies Studio...so look for some fun pictures from me while I am there!

Hi Crafters! Well, I am so sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have been so busy at work that I haven't had much time to craft lately! Logan's First Birthday party!

Hi my crafting friends! Well, the day is finally here! Today my family is celebrating my youngest grandson's 1st birthday!

A few weeks ago, I posted the birthday party invitations using Elmo's Party cartridge. Today I will post the remaining few items I have for the party.

I decided to make this really cute party banner for the back of his chair. Have you seen these at Michaels? They are just so cute, but I knew I could make one just as cute!

I used the same cut as the birthday invitations, just enlarged the cut to 7 inches. The banner is cut at 7 inches also and is from the Wedding Solutions cartridge. The banner itself is made from an SVG file I purchased.

Now take a look at this cute little birthday hat!

The hat is cut using the Elmo's party cartridge, using fit to page. I decided the hat needed a little spicing up...so I purchased some crate paper and using my MS fringe scissors made the hat bling!

Then I decide the top of the hat needed a little extra also...so I took the remaining fringe and added to the top of the hat.

I am off to the party, I will post pictures of the party later...my mother is making the cake and I'm sure it turned out awesome!

Elmo's Party - Birthday party invitation

Hello my crafty friends! My youngest grandson, Logan, will be turning 1 next month....so the birthday party frenzy is on! Sympathy Card - Kate's ABC's

Happy Friday my crafty friends!!!! I had to make a sympathy card this week for a colleague of mine who has lost her daughter to breast cancer. I decided to use the Kate's ABCs cartridge for my card. This cartridge has such beautiful images on it. I cut the vase of flowers at 3 1/2 inches. The really fabulous border on the bottom is a new punch from EK Success. Easter Cards using Inky Antics new stamps

Hi my crafting friends! I had a really fun shopping day yesterday at Archivers!

I found these really super cute new stamps from Inky Antics and a HoneyComb Paper Pad to go along with them!

This is the front of the cards...

I am using paper from new SpringTime collection from Echo Park, oh my gosh, this is beautiful paper!!! I have colored my images with Copics of course!

Now for the inside of the cards!!!! this is the really fun part of the card!!!

Isn't this so cool! I love these little pop up cards! There are several more sets available, but the were sold out yesterday....so I will be stalking them to pick up some more of these sets!

Birthday card using a PTI stamp

Apple of my eye layout

Hi my crafting friends! I am trying to get caught up on all my scrapbooking layouts! Wow, I have a lot to get done! I spent the past week reviewing my pictures and putting them into categories to scrap. So be prepared to see a lot of layouts from me in the next few weeks!

For this layout I used the Country Life and Just Because cartridges.

The apples are cut from a Country Life at 4 inches. I shadowed the layers with chalk and used foam tape to adhere to the layout. The paper is from Stampin Up, I am on a mission to use up my paper stash! I have so much paper!!!!The title is from the Just because cartridge. I had to cut this at 8 inches to get it big enough to be a page title!

Layout using Kate's ABC's

Hi my crafting friends! WOW! Have you all seen the cuts on "Kate's ABC"s"? I just picked it up and have fallen in love with this cartridge!

It is soooo sweet! I just had to use it for a layout of my granddaughter Brooklyn and grandson Coy. They are so sweet together! He always takes care of her!

Don't you love this little girl reading a book! This cartridge also has a font, so I used it to create the words Story Time on my gypsy.

Next, I am ramping up to start my video series again, and would love to have any recommendations on a cart to feature this month! Please leave me a comment with a recommendation and if I have it I will feature it!

Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps - Day 5

Well, my crafty friends....my week as Guest Designer is almost over! I can't believe it went sooo fast! I have had such a good time showcasing some of my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps this week!

For today's project, I just had to use a face stamp!

For my card I am using the "Once Upon a Princess" Cricut cartridge for the sweet little girl. And the face stamp I am using is "Princess Faces".

My card is a two way pull card that was featured on the Splitcoaststampers forum. I love how this card turned out! It was really fun to make!

And isn't that the cutest little face ever!

Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps - Day 4

Hi my crafting friends! Wow, what a week I am having....reading all your sweet comments has really made my week!

My project for today is another card...I am using the Peachy Keen Stamp set "Happy Bird and Phrases"! This card just makes me sing SPRING!

The sweet little bird is colored using Copic markers. One of the really neat things about Copics is you can color almost anything with the markers. If you notice the red embellishments on each side of the bird, those were originally white and I colored them with a red Copic. I love this, as you can customize anything you have!

I also made a matching envelope to go with this card.

Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps - Day 3

Hi my crafting friends! I hope you are enjoying this week of Peachy Keen Stamps! I know I am!

Today's project is a page layout using the Peachy Keen Stamp "Say it with Flowers".

Using the 3 flower stamp, I created a boarder by stamping the same image over and over and then used a Martha Stewart border punch to punch out the scallops to create this beautiful border for my page layout.

I love how you can incorporate stamps in to your page layouts, and this stamp set is just so darn cute!

Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps - Day 1

Hi my crafting friends! I am super excited to announce I am the guest designer at Peachy Keen Stamps this week!

I have loved Peachy Keen Stamps since I first layed eyes on them a few years ago. I was a stamper before I fell in love with my Cricut...so I decide to go back to my roots this week and create projects using Peachy Keen Stamps that I love!

For my first project today, I am using the stamp set "Viv & Friends"!

For my card today, I decided to make this card very simple, I want to highlight Viv and her doll!

I colored the image with Copic markers, and then added the sidewalk and grass freehand using Copics.

Playing with my stamps

Hi Crafters! I decided to pull out some stamps last night and play with them. I really miss stamping!

For this card, I am using some new stamps from Hero Arts. I just fell in love with the butterflies, I am wanting Spring sooo bad....so I have to create it myself!

I colored the butterflies with Copics, the paper used is from PTI.

Valentine's Day Card

Hi Crafters! Here is a quick Valentine's Day card I made for my son.

I am postponing the video series this month, to start up again in March. I have been traveling a lot this month and will continue to do so thru February.

For this card, I cut the card base using "Just Because Cards". The cute little bee is cut from "Paisley" and the heart is cut from "Doodlecharms".

LOVE Banner

Hi Crafters! Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you all! I am not a football fan, but my husband is...so I play along!

I decided this month to play along in the Cricut Circle Blog challenge....the challenge is to create a banner using 3 cuts from the Cricut! How easy is that! I love banners and needed one for Valentine's Day...so I jumped right in!

I had a lot of fun with this one! For the tag base, I am using a tag from the Sweethearts cartridge. I welded a corner flourish from the Sweetheart cartridge on to the tag base, and then cut the actual corner flourish from a lighter pink cardstock to layer ontop of the welded piece on the tag. I hope that makes sense, I guess you wouldn't have to do that step, but wanted to try it and it worked!

The scallop heart and the lighter pink heart layers, and the cupid were also cut using the Sweethearts cartridge. The letters were cut from Storybook cartridge. I added glitter to the letters and the heart and arrow on the cupid. The lock and key were also cut from the Sweethearts cartridge.And for my FAVORITE part of the banner! This beautiful paper rose! I made this rose using a flower cut from the Walk in My Garden cartridge and used the Tim Holtz grunge flower technique.

I cut the flower pieces out of parchment cardstock and then ink the edges with 3 different colors of ink.

These are very easy to make, and the whole time I was making them, I was singing the song from Marie Osmond "Paper Roses"!

Quick Valentine's Day card

Hi Crafters! sorry, I don't have a video today..I have been out of town all week so I didn't have any time to put something together. But I do have a quick and simple Valentine's Day card!

This card was made using my gypsy and the Smiley Cards cartridge that you can receive FREE when you purchase a Gypsy! I haven't had a chance to play with this cartridge yet, but I did a little experimenting last night and came up with this simple, but cute card!

I did weld the heart onto the card base to create the card. I will upload the gypsy file a little later today, so those of you that would like to make this card will find it a lot easier to do.

Well, I'm off to creating today! I missed my craftroom this week, and I purchased a new toy from HSN last week. The Teresa Collins stampmaker...so I am going to play with it today. I will post the stamps I make...if they turn out!

Card using the Imagine

Hi crafters, I wanted to share a card I just made....I have been watching HSN today and saw the Todays Value is the Anna Griffin card making kit. I really like the 3-d embellishments, but didn't see any reason to purchase them when I can make them with my Imagine!

Here is a quick card I made using the Lori's Garden cartridge. I cut the image and all the pieces then layered them. I like the way it looks, I am going to play around with this idea....I also printed the cardstock papers and cut to make a 5x7 card using the Lori's Garden cartridge.

Birthday Bash birthday layout

Hi Crafters! Today I have a page layout using the Birthday Bash cartridge. I have really enjoyed using this cartridge the past few weeks! It really does have a lot of cute images.

So, of course, after the party I will have to scrap the photos.....so I thought I would get a head start on it and created this 2 page layout.

All the little critters were cut at 3 inches. I didn't use my gypsy for this project, I just cut directly using the cartridge with the Cricut. I was even able to use the Birthday Bash cartridge to cut the large scallop in the center of the 2 page layout! I just did a "fit to page" on the scallop image on 43 under the Card/Tag feature.

Next week will finish up the month featuring Birthday Bash cartridge. I will announce the February cartridge next week.

Happy New Year! 2011 Video Series Announcement

Happy New Year my crafting friends! I have been thinking about what my video series should be for 2011. What I have decided is to feature one cartridge a month. I know many of you have many cartridges just like me and they never get used!

So, for this new year, I am going to pull out some of my older cartridges and some of the newer ones that I haven't used yet and create my projects from those.

For January I will be using "Birthday Bash". I have 2 grandsons with birthdays in February and I would like to get their cards and birthday layouts ready to go in advance...if you can image that! So I won't be so rushed when their actual birthday arrives....as you can see, one of my new years resolutions is to be PREPARED this year for any special event! We will see how it goes!

If any of you have any special requests for a cartridge, and I have it, I would be happy to feature it during a month. Please leave me a note and I will do my best to feature it for you. Also, if you have a special type of card or project you need help with, let me know and I will try to feature something during the month for you.

I want this blog to be a help to you creating your special gifts and cards for your loved ones...so lets work together and have a BLAST this year!

My Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange Party

Hi Crafters! Last night, I hosted my annual Christmas Cookie Exchange party! We had a super time! Everyone brought an appetizers and we all exchanged cookies! Here are a few pictures from the event...

This is our group picture, I am on the far left.

This is a picture of the table with all the cookies! Wow! They look yummy!

Here is the Italian Cream Cake I made for dessert!
Each year I make something for everyone to take home, this year I made 2 items. This is a cupcake baked in a mason jar, topped with chocolate filling and white icing. I decorated the jars using PTI stamps and cut the scallop and circle using my Cricut.

The 2nd gift I made is a set of gift tags in a small gift box. The tags were cut with my Cricut and decorated with PTI stamps. The gift box was also cut with the Cricut and decorated with PTI stamps.

Episode 20 - Christmas Tree Card

Someone stole my wreath off my front door!

Can you believe it! Someone stole my wreath right off my front door last night! So, if you make the holly wreath in my previous post, watch out! You need to put under lock and key!

Apparently it is in high demand!

I live in a really safe neighborhood and my house was all lite up last night with Christmas lights! I just can't believe someone would do that!

So now I will have to make another one! I'm not sure if I have the time, but I loved it so much...I will have to just make the time!

Episode 19 - Holiday Wreath

Hi Crafters! Well, I am finally back...I have just been so busy these past few weeks...hopefully things will get a little less crazy.....anyway, today I am kicking off my Holiday series..creating Holiday Home decor and other items for you.

Today's project is a Holiday Wreath. I originally saw this idea on one of the Custom Crops video's which you can view Here.

I decide to expand on their idea a bit, and create a gypsy file for ease of cutting and also adding a score line to each holly leaf. Adding the score line really save a lot of time, by not having to score each leaf on a score board.

So...here is the video..its a bit shaky as I held the video camera most of the time..., hope you enjoy!

Christmas Card

Hi Crafters! Well, today I don't have a video! I know 2 weeks in a row!!! I have been super busy at work, matter of fact out of town most of this week...and I will be out of town next week also....but I wanted to have something for you to view this weekend! So here is a card I made using the Christmas Card cartridge and Winter Frolic.
The card base is cut at 4.00 and the layer is cut at 3.85, both are from the Christmas Card cartridge.

The Tree is from the Winter Frolic cartridge, and cut at 3.12. I cut the shadow and the layer at the same size. The oval is also from the same cartridge, it is cut at 13.00 ( this is so large because it is a layer on this cartridge) If you use a oval from another cartridge, then the size wouldn't be as large.

I inked around the edges of the layer and oval and added some bling to the christmas tree.
The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey ink.

CJToo DT project - Thankful

Hi Crafters! Today is another fantastic day over at CJToo's!

This is a Thanksgiving Day page layout that I plan to use this year. The theme this week is Thankful, and I am Thankful for my family.

The paper for my layout is from DCWV The Autumn Splendor Stack.
I am using the Thanksgiving cartridge, cutting the pie at 2 3/4 and the cornucopia at 2 inches, and the words Gather Together is cut at 3 inches .

The large square scallop is cut at 11 inches using the Storybook cartridge.

Peachy Keen Challenge

Hi Crafters, today I am sharing my page layout for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week!
Isn't that Santa soooo cute!!!!!!!

I am using Papertrey Ink's new Christmas paper for my layout. The Santa Baby is cut from my Cricut using the Wild Card cartridge and that cute little Santa is from Peachy Keen! I added some 3d snow embellishments to the fur on Santa, but I'm not sure you can tell by the picture.

The snowflakes are punched from a MS punch, and the ribbon I purchased at Michaels...it matched the paper so well! Love that!

Thankful Banner

Hi Crafters! Well I am not going to have a video for you today...it has been a very busy week for me and I just didn't get time to make anything new.

But, since we are close to Thanksgiving, I thought I would re-post a post I did last year about this time on a Thankful Banner I made.

I made this banner last Thanksgiving and I have just pulled it out of storage and hung it up again this year! I LOVE when that happens!

So...here is the banner and a few details....

For this banner, I used my Gypsy (of course) and used a cut from WinterWonderland cart for the banner base. I cut it at 8.19 height and 5.18 width. I used the layer feature on the Gypsy, so on page 1 of the mat, I copied the banner base 3 times to make 4 on a 12x24 mat. Then to make the shadow, I created another mat layer, copied the banner base to the 2nd mat and started enlarging to create a shadow. I ended up with a size of 8.53 height and 5.60 width, and cut 4 on the 12x24 mat also.

For the letters, I used Storybook cart and cut both the letter and the shadow of each letter, they were cut at 5.20 height and 3.22 width.

I cut the leaves on the end of the banner from the gypsy wanderings cart, cut at 3.86 height and 3.94 width. The acorn is from the Doodlecharms cart cut at 4.29 height and 5.12 width. The leaves in between each banner base is also from the Doodlecharms cart cut at 2 inches.

I took the letters and stamped a flourish on each letter using my glue pad and added some MS glitter to brighten them up! I then layered them together and applied to the banner base.

I punched holes on the upper portion of each side of the banner base and tied a ribbon to each to bring them together. On each ribbon, I added the little leaves that I had distressed with brown ink. I also distressed the leave and acorn on the end of the banner.

Episode 18 - Treat Bags

Some other things I have been doing!

Hi Crafters! I thought I would share with you some other projects I have been working on.

I have started painting, at the encouragement of my BFF Linda.

I started collecting old metal trays from the local thrift store and started making some christmas gifts by painting on them.

I have finished 3 so far, I hope to get a few more completed before christmas.

This is the first one I completed...I love this Santa!

For this one, I found this really cool wood plaque that had a really ugly painting on it, so I decided it needed a couple of cute gingerbreadmen on it instead! So this is what it ended up as....

And this is the 3rd one I have been working on..I have to say, this one was the most difficult! But I love it the most! I am not giving this one away! I am going to keep this one and use in my kitchen at Christmas...

CraftJunkieToo Project - Halloween is in the Air!

Hi Crafters! Today is my 2nd project for CraftjunkieToo's blog! This week we are focusing on Halloween and the theme is "Halloween is in the Air"!

We were challenged to make something that could be hung on a door, window, doorknob, etc. for Halloween!

Soooo, I decided to make a door hanging for my front door for Halloween night! (I also could put this on my 15 year old son's bedroom door, I am afraid to go in there also!)

For this project, I am using the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I cut the frame with the spiders using the "fit to page" function. I cut the frame base from cardstock and chipboard. I adhered the cardstock to the chipboard using a wet glue.

I cut the frame from coordinating designer paper and adhered that to the frame base.

I cut the words from the same cartridge cut at 8", I cut the layers and the shadow for the words.

For the spiders, I add some Martha Stewart black glitter to make them sparkle! I also added a few little round black rhinestones on the scrolls of the frame.

Episode 17 - Pumpkin Patch Layout

Playing with the Imagine

Hi crafters! I have been playing with my Imagine this week and thought I would post a couple of cards I have made.

This card was made using 2 Imagine carts and Just because Cards cart. I selected a card base from Just Because Cards and flood filled the image with the paper from Better Together cart.

The cute little girl and her dog is from Better Together also. Then I switched to Hopscotch cart and still using the Just Because Cards flood filled the tag image with the cloud paper from Hopscotch. I then switched back to Better Together cart and flood filled a scallop border from Just Because Cards.

I sure hope the gypsy will be able to assist me with this type of creations in the future...it sure would make it easier!

For my 2nd card, I am using Imagine More Cards cart. I cut the card base and the roses, tag and roses from this cart. This is a really neat cart, as it has different card bases that you can change the colors on...to make your own custom card.

I added some stickles to the roses to add some interest and bling! The stamp is from Papertrey Ink as well as the ribbon.

First project for CraftJunkieToo and Episode 17 - Turkey Day

Hi Crafters! Well, today is a REALLY special day! I have my first project post as a design team member for CJToo!

Since I normally do a video on Saturday, I thought I would combine the two this week. I hope you enjoy!

Today we are making some Thanksgiving Holiday decorations. I wanted to create a really fun centerpiece for my table and thought the turkey from Create a Critter was just perfect! And then I thought, hum...I need some napkin holders also! So I created those with the same cut from Create a Critter.

I think they turned out so darn cute, I hope you feel the same way!

They were very simple to make, and since I used my Imagine this week...there isn't a gypsy file (the gypsy doesn't communicate with the Imagine yet), but I think you can all make this project with no trouble at all!

So...here are the videos explaining how to assemble this fun project..

I decided to add the Gobble Gobble (also from the Create a Critter cartridge) after I finished the video. It was very simple, I cut the Gobble Gobble 2 times once at 2 1/2 inches and once at 2 inches.

Since the phrase doesn't have a layer, I created my own using the idea shared by CJtoo a few weeks ago on her site. It was VERY easy! I also attached a dowel stick to the back of the word phrase so it would stick out of the turkey table decoration. I did end up putting styrofoam inside the box of the turkey table decoration so I had something to stick the sign into.

Imagine projects

Hi Crafters! Today I am sharing a couple of projects that I have submitted to Tammy at Creative Critterz Imaginations Design Team call. I am sure there will be a lot of really fantastic projects sent in...so I hope I have a chance!

This first project is a layout I made using the Imagine More cartridge.

This 2nd project is made from Nursery Tails cartridge and the pillow box is from the Wedding solution cartridge. Wouldn't this be so cute with a matching onsie with the same image ironed on? I am off to Walmart this week to find one and I will post the picture once I get that project completed.....

I really am loving the new Imagine! My projects just seem to come together so quickly with this machine! I can't wait for the gypsy update, this will open up so much more creativity!

Episode 16 - Boo to you!

Hi Crafters! Oh my, I have a really fun project this week! Have many of you seen the "You've Been Booed" gifts that go around during the Halloween season? Well, I have a fun twist on this Halloween tradition. Normally you would leave a little basket or treat bag at a friends door, but I thought how fun would it be to make a hanging treat bag to hang on their door instead!

So, that is what we will be making this week, and hanging "Boo to you" treat bag. Hope you enjoy!

Episode 15 - Halloween Layout

1st layout with Imagine

Hi Crafters! Well, today I created my first layout using my new Imagine!

I am using Nursery Tails....I LOVE this machine! I was able to pull out some images from
a variety of different cuts and they all coordinated so beautifully!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer and Project Tuesday!

Hi Crafters! Well, today is a very exciting and busy day for me! I have 2 projects to share with you!

1st up, I am the Guest Designer over at
Peachy Keen Challenge Blog! Don't you just love the Peachy Keen Stamps! I sure doooo!

Here is my sample for their challenge this week....

For my card, I am using Kraft cardstock for the base of the card and SU Bashful Blue and PTI christmas prints from 2009. The stamp I am using is the Gingerbread man from Peachy Keen. I LOVE this little guy! I host a cookie exchange every Christmas and use the Gingerbread man as the theme to my party every year. I am very partial to him!

For my card today, I am using SU designer paper...I don't remember the name of this pack as it is a few years old. I cut the flower from Forever Young cricut cartridge sized at 3 inches. The cardstock is from SU.

Episode 13 Pumpkin slider card

Hi Crafters!!! Happy Saturday....today I have another video in my video series using the Cricut and Gypsy..I am making a Pumpkin slider card.

I made a cupcake slider card a few weeks ago, and I just loved it..so I thought I would try the same technique with some other images...I think this one turned out just as cute!

I added a little black bow on the top of the pumpkins head..it just looked to plain for me..

This is a picture of my oldest grandson (Coy), and my husband (papa) at the Boy Scouts boat races. Coy won 2nd place, and they were sooooo proud! They both spent an entire weekend working on this boat! We drove 2 1/2 hours to be at this event to celebrate with Coy, it was such a good day to remember.

Ok, on to 5 blogs I would like to pass this award to...

1.) Pinke I met Pinke (Edna) at CHA and spent sometime with her at the My Pink Stamper class, she is wonderful person and is sooo creative.

2.) Lorie Oh, my what can I say about Lorie...she is awesome! I met Lorie in person at CHA, I have been following her for sometime now and it was a thrill to meet her. She is soooo creative and a wiz with the Copics!

3.) Suzie I met Suzie thru the Project Tuesday design team, she is so creative and sweet and we both share a love for Waltzingmouse stamps! Do I need to say more?

4.) Emma the Gypsy queen! I met Emma at CHA and she is just as sweet in person as she is on her videos! I have really learned alot about my gypsy watching her videos and she has become a sweet friend of mine.

View Master Card - Project Tuesday

I have to say, I hadn't made this type of card before, and I didn't think I would like it, but....I think I do!

I made my card using SU cardstock, PTI designer paper and Stamps and Smiles stamps.
